KEDA is seeking to hire an outside contractor to administer the organization's new State Certified Sites Program. It will involve interacting with the Kansas Department of Commerce, local communities, utility partners and volunteer board members. This includes: marketing the program to KEDA members, reviewing applications for certification of the program, providing guidance to applicants, collecting information needed to verify a site for certification, settling disputes regarding sites that are in contest, coordinating and supporting meetings with members of the program's review board, bringing suggestions of program changes to the KEDA board for review, maintaining documentation of sites certified, communicating with the KEDA membership through channels that are deemed necessary by the KEDA board and providing general support services for the Board of Directors and related meetings containing the Certified Sites Program. KEDA shall also expect the contractor to attend Board of Directors meetings upon request, annual meeting (required) and other meetings at no cost. All duties are paid as a lump sum without reimbursable expenses or per diems. The selected contractor must have demonstrated experience with utility partners, communities of all sizes and site selectors. They must be able to complete work that requires access to large, confidential, electronic files. Travel is not expected to individual sites but will include attending established meetings.
